well, it was actually kinda fun. When I woke up in recovery, I had a migraine...not eating tends to trigger those suckers in me, so they gave me something that knocked me back out fast. Then, when I woke up in my hospital room, I still had the sucker, so they gave me some more of whatever they gave me in recovery, and I saw two doors where there ( Read more... )

I finally get a call to substitute teach, and I have to go to the hospital to have a freakin ultrasound on my freakin thyroid.

Every time I swallow it looks like I'm swallowing an egg whole, but really it's just a swollen lymph node that happens to be right next to my adam's apple. Maybe one day it will return to its normal size, but for now I look like a snake eating an egg whenever I swallow.

I got in! To the one graduate school that I applied to. And I now understand the meaning of "rolling admissions." It means that the person in charge of interviews contracts lyme's disease but still decides to admit you for the fall 3 weeks before orientation. Super. I think I'll defer for a semester. I wish my professors wouldn't demand that I somehow magically make everything appear on their desks Thursday and Friday even though the pres cancelled classes.
