"Give me a challenge and I'll meet it with joy."
This is how I am trying to live my life right now. It's the quality that President Reagan gave to the astronauts who died in the Challenger. I like the idea of having the heart of an astronaut.
There is so much development going on in my job at the moment. It's so exciting. Alex works so hard to make our support roles as good as they can be. Today I observed another TA and she observed me. We've got a meeting after half term to discuss our findings with others in the group. We also have another training afternoon. How many other schools are doing this? We have the potential to have such a massive impact.
This week I had my first meeting with an occupational therapist regarding two of our students. I had no idea what I was doing. But you know what? I didn't panic, I wasn't nervous, I just got on with my job and it was fine. Lesson to be learnt there.
I love working with NQts the most. They are respectful. They are appreciative. They listen to what you have to say and they ask questions.
It's the end of the half term and I am truly exhausted. It's been so emotional on about a million different levels.
I have a cold.
The boy is coming tomorrow. We are having a no-spend weekend. It involves pre-bought snacks and comfort food, The Walking Dead (new series), dvds, lie-ins, free cinema tickets and cuddles. Just a bit of calm to get everything back in perspective. A reminder of why we're doing all of this.
Come onnnn Christmas. It's been a year and I really miss your snow.
