So I just got home from my highly anticipated trip to Disneyland/Fullerton! It was an amazing five day experience that completely drained my stress and energy level. Here are some of the highlights:
-Fireworks- So it turns out that this week is still technically Disneyland's off season, so they were only open until 8 pm every day except Sunday, when they were open till midnight. Sunday was a day mostly filled with driving down to Anaheim but when we found out that it was the only day the park would be open late, we high tailed it over to the park. We got to see the fire works show which was awesome (but nothing compared to the Pirate fireworks last year) and since we only got to see it on that one day, it was definitely a highlight.
-Nemo!- Sunday night we came across a strange phenomenon... there was no line for Nemo! Well ok, there was, but 10 minutes doesn't count as anything. So we jumped in line and waited for the awesome under water adventure to start. Turns out, Nemo deserves all the hype it gets, the ride is AMAZING. It's also really adorable. So adorable, in fact, that I had to go buy a little Squirt stuffed animal. Yes I did. I also feel the need to buy a wee turtle.
-Fullerton placement test- So I walk in expecting the test to be like the one I took at Sierra-- a big room with old desks and an SAT type booklet and scantron. Boy was I wrong. It was a tiny room full of computers with a super lame Javascript program designed to test my reading, writing and math skills. The english tests were super easy but I, once again have forgotten all my math. I'm just rusty I think from not having to do any for the past year. When I finished my test I had to take the 'online orientation' which was really boring. The lady who was supervising the test came over to me and asked, "You go to college before?" and I said no and she said, "You test score very high." and then I look at the test and I missed a grand total of three points combined from the english test. The math test on the other hand is just shameful. Either way it was pretty awesome.
-Fullerton- Is an amazing campus and town. It's small and busy and high energy and calm all at the same. It's very exciting.
-Muppets-The muppet 3D movie is hysterical. You walk in and you're sitting IN the muppet theatre. It's amazing.
-Shari!- I got to go visit Shari at UC Irvine and it was a ton of fun. I got to meet all of her friends and go with them to the vender fair. I got this really awesome ring with a dragon on it. We went to the park and ate junk food. Then I got to distract Shari from chem prep and kick her ass at fooseball. We goofed off with Garage band and created...
-Green means Fo Sho- A new take on 'Green Means Go' in which I mixed together a few samples from Garageband and Shari's lyrics for Green Means Go. We played it for her future roomate, Nicki who then flipped out over it's awesomeness and Shari insists is now in love with me.
-Grizzly River Runx10- Decided to go on California Adventure's Grizzly River Run ten times in a row just for the hell of it. Froze my ass off and was litterally soaked to the bone. Celebrated by spending far too much time in a hot tub and nearly passing out.
