I always said that I was going to audition for American Idol. My friends constantly pushed the heck out of me to do it. LOL. The year that I finally was going to go for it I got knocked up. This is the first year since then (2004) that I've had my confidence back about my singing. I only have this year and next year left to audition and then I'll be too old.
I don't want to live with whatif's. I want to know. I'm not losing anything (aside from the first day of the school year... whoops). Balls to the wall, lets do this shit.
I was thinking about it and my situation screams screentime. LOL. Single mom. Turned things around for herself. Super cute child. Drama teacher. Bringing student who can sing. Blah, blah, blah. LOL
Anyhoo... I need help... I need songs. I'm supposed to have 3 prepared. Need to be acapella and show range/skill.
I've got broadway out the yin yang and ironically enough I have a ton of country too. I don't want to be a one trick pony.
I'm super strong in my lower range, however, my actual range is about 3 octaves. I generally lean towards the jazz/torch songs as well as female country (I've been told several times I'm downright awesome doing Reba), when it comes to broadway, I'm a character girl through and through.
So I totally need songs...
OH! And does anyone know of any hair stylist in the area that might do hair cut/color and eyebrow waxing with a post dated check? I'm freaking out here cause I look beastly. :/
K. That's it. I'm kinda spazzing here if you couldn't tell. LOL.
