so this weekend was the intern trip.
long bus rides with ktv (karaoke)....which was amusing. something about driving through winding roads with tunnels while singing chinese pop songs. saturday was visiting taroko gorge and the beach followed by a nice seafood dinner. night consisted of wandering, eating shaved ice and then surprising gina for her b-day. sunday was rafting. lots of fun....tho a rather long river ride. got sunburned for the first time....my knees are now two-toned and i have a nice band-aid tan line. however, we didn't get back until 11 something at night because traffic in taipei is ridiculous....
monday morning we moved in...they should have given us a half day off...b/c everyone was out of it. wednesday night we went to karaoke. we sang for 4 hours and had food for only $10 each. their english selection is decent....i like how they actually play music videos on the screen instead of randomness. it was a good group....and lots of 90's pop.
the family mart convenience store just opened on campus so now we have access to food 24/7. yesterday night was fun....borrowed bikes and rode around campus and then tried out a belly dancing class. it's nice when we all randomly gather in the hall/someone's room and chat.
