I saw Phantom Planet last nite, and it broke my heart. I've wanted to see them for 5 years and I've tried 3 times.. and I've met them 2 of those times. What broke my heart was the fact that some of the band are SO obviously on drugs. Alex Greenwald, the singer, has lost like 20lbs since I last saw him and his face is all sunken in and not as handsome as it once was. It really made me sad, I couldn't even enjoy the show. You could sense the brokeness in the band. I know most bands do drugs, but it's never been so painfully obvious.... even the Strokes look amazing still.
Speaking of which, the Strokes were amazing.
Ok. I've got to go now.
