One last Hurrah for Summer!
It’s always hard for me to say goodbye to the summer. It’s my favorite time of year because (In random order)
1.The weather is nice enough to go out and actually do stuff outside
2.My favorite holiday 4th of July occurs during the summer
3.No school which means that my stress level is waaaaay down
So it’s hard for me to accept the end of summer and accept the start of fall. Yes I know Fall doesn’t start until somewhere towards the end of September…but for me once September 1st hits it’s the fall. And it’s not just the fall…but the start of September in my world anyway signals a brand new year to me. And I’ve had such a good year and it’s sad to see it come to an end. Especially this summer.
My summers usually consisted in the past of me doing a lot of nothing and being bored. I’d read books I’d read 10 times already even if they were books I read like in the 6th grade. Sure I did really fun things on occasion but mostly it was me being bored. One year was a good summer because Missy was in the great play “The Hollow” and I got to go time after time to see it again. 2001 was a good summer mostly because that’s when I discovered watching Port Charles…so my summer was good because of a good soap opera. This Summer however…well I was never bored.
Looking back I really can’t believe this summer was my life. It all started on the day we tried on bridesmaid dresses (and had fun looking at the ugly ones) From then on I had something to do EVERY weekend. Sometimes I had multiple things to do on certain weekends., and one week I had something to do Every Day. My life is not usually like this.Meeting Olivia,Roller Derbys, Tanya’s wedding, NYC, 6th of July Fireworks,FRCA, POTC:DMC, and my favorite day of the year(One of the best days EVER)-Joelle’s World Cup Party….just all so amazing. This wasn’t just the best summer I’ve ever had it’s the best time I’ve had in my ENTIRE LIFE!
I really have to say that I know the most amazing people ever and I thank all of you for being my friends and inviting me to cool stuff (and allowing me to take pictures of you all and put them on here) You are all the best and you guys are the reason why I’ve had the time of my life! Thank You!
The last Hurrah and Fun day of this Summer was Friday 9-1-06 at Jesse and Joelle’s Newfoundland Party
Before I get to the party……
It was mom and Dad’s Anniversary! Yay! Best Parents Ever!
The broken glasses which mom named the pirate glasses and sent us all laughing for like 10 minutes. Not continuously (That wouldn‘t be healthy)…but for a good 10 minutes we were laughing on and off. They continue to amuse me anytime someone puts them on. See one mans junk is another mans treasure
Now back to the party. Jesse and Joelle were in Newfoundland for about half of August so we were invited to a Newfoundland themed party where they shared with us food, music from the area and stories from their adventures.
It’s the magical Jesse Bread. Which we had with Jam….and tea *sings* “A drink with jam and BREAAAAAD….” Hmmm perhaps we can perform a Newfoundland version of the sound of music. No think about it. It would be AWESOME. Awesome=strange/bad/funny in that sentence.

1.a Malamute (a powerful dog bred in Alaska as a sled dog)
2.a termagant- (a scolding shrewish woman)
3.A swami (hindu mystic teacher)
4.rhythm
Jamie: Must move out of way. Must eat Ketchup Chips! Can only move one leg at a time very slowly!…. I am a pathetic monster!
Joelle:I dance in your face fool!

Newfoundland Party turned into the Brady Bunch Variety hour. Either that or Joelle and Missy really had to pee!

ICE ICE BABY!
When I don’t sell nylons on the street corner I go door to door selling ice in baking dishes. Sometimes I sell both ice in baking dishes AND nylons at the same time. I multitask well!
Evan (Who has on the coolest shirt ever) Gave missy a cat bowl he made….because she loves cats so much that she is slowly becoming one now and tends to drink all of her liquids out of the toilet (Wait isn’t that dogs???) anyway yeah the toilet….so now she can drink out of a real bowl.
Police Line Up…you all were just standing in a line so you know I had to get a picture! Let’s see…Karl attempts to do the Heimlich on Amanda while Eating bread/jam and pouring a drink over her head at the same time. Gotta give props to Amanda! Not only does she pimp out my LJ but she knows where this picture was going to end up so she makes faces for me! Yay! I give you a gold star and a photo of Gloria Gaynor!
In Newfoundland people have no chairs and are forced to sit on huge purple balls and balance themselves. (Again, My journal=many liberties taken in writing it and it’s facts/caption)

I loved the scarf idea. Each place they visited Joelle did some knitting…so each color on the scarf represented somewhere they had visited and in some cases how long they were there for.

So Summer has ended with a bang…and a boom…and a bam…and a…..oh I’ll stop now. Anyway it was a great way to end the summer. I hope to go out and have lots of more fun with you all even though summer is gone *boo* and I know we will. But I also know there are going to be weeks where nothing interesting happens and I’ll be back to posting entries with pictures of myself posing with random fruit and stuff. Hey I have to keep myself amused! Cautiously looking forward to the fall and what it brings. *Halloween-yay!* *my b-day-double yay* *meeting Kristen and being stupid together--triple Yay!*
