Last night, shortly before going to bed, I listened to the Blue Scholars song "Proletariat Blues." As a consequence, I had a nightmare about a horrible retail job. I worked in some sort of big retail store--I don't remember what kind. At the end of the nightmare, I was running through the parking lot, wearing socks but no shoes. I'm not sure why I wasn't wearing shoes. To make things worse, one of my socks came off as I was running.

Maybe last night's trip to Whole Foods also influenced the dream. There was a really annoying customer in front of me at the check stand. He apparently didn't understand the concept of doing your shopping before you go to the check stand. He set his basket full of things on the conveyor and then went to get some lettuce. Then he had to consult the cashier about what kind of salad dressing he should get. (Thankfully, he had his two options with him during the consultation.) To top it all off, he had to complain about the prices at Whole Foods--not once, but twice. There are cheaper places to get groceries--even natural foods--within a short drive of Whole Foods. I wish he would have spared us all the annoyance by going to one of them.

Speaking of groceries, I might need to find a new source for edible chia seeds. Native Seeds has lost their supplier, according to someone who works there. They have them at Food City, but they're in small, overpriced packages, and the seeds are often clumped together.
