ewe's protection

I never knew until yesterday that the Biosphere 2 is on 3.14 acres of land. Perhaps I should visit it on Pi Day. A three-day weekend would be nice. I could take the day off. But that's also a long way to drive just to see a bunch of shit growing inside of a big dome.

I bought some caramels at Trader Joe's recently, with the intention of eventually mailing them to butternutsquash--not because I thought she would be particularly joyed to get a bunch of caramels, but because I thought she might be able to make art out of the container. Well, it's difficult to keep something like caramels around my house without eventually wanting to eat them. So I opened them. I justified it by telling myself that it's best to try a food before you give it to someone (even if you're just sending it because of the container). I'm at Trader Joe's almost weekly, so I can replace the container I opened and started eating.

As I was eating them, I started to contemplate whether the caramels could be molded and used to make an animated film--like Claymation, but edible. I don't know if I'd have the patience to make an animated film, and if I did, I don't know what I'd animate. The first thought that popped into my head was making little people out of the caramels, and having them engage in a lot of sex. The title would be Caramel Sutra. But I think that's pushing the caramel theme too far. It would also be too similar to the puppet sex in Team America: World Police (and it would never top the puppet sex in that film).

I guess I'll just eat the caramels instead of doing something creative with them.
