Pondering

The grayness of the sky was overpowering. Yoh's eyes, normally dark and black and beautiful, reflected the gray almost religiously.

It was rather scary to look at, but Anna wasn't one to be scared of what she deemed meaningless.

It was just rain, after all. And tonight, they were sleeping in the rain.

Well, not technically in the rain. Anna had refused to stand for it, until Yoh had finally agreed that they would set up under the overhead that opened to the main yard. But only because you said so, he had said, resigned.

She remembered very clearly; she had spoke apathetically, Then go sleep in the rain by yourself.

Yoh had looked at her strangely, with that same blank scary look that he had now. But, I want you to be with me.

He had earned a slap for that. Ouch! Damn, Anna, that hurt!

She had left the room in a rage, but her heart was pounding.

And now, she looked at him, as those eyes slowly fluttered closed. He knows I love him...doesn't he?

That didn't matter much to her though-it was enough for her to know that she loved him.

"Good-night Anna."

She didn't answer. The rain blurred as her eyes slowly shut.
