A blue van bearing the legend 'National Grid - Gas Alliance' (is it me, or does that sound like it should be in an SF film?) and with a mini-digger on tow has just left.
They've left a big 'ole in the pavement. And removed part of the flower bed belonging to the pub.
Hmmm. No idea why yet - more as this story develops.
I'm off to Morrisons now as we need bread. And I need something - find myself oddly gumptionless today. Everything is.... just.... too.... much..... effort......
