I don't need to etc., etc....

Full of wine and bored is not a good combination when it comes to making journal entries. Especially as I just typed 'Full of wind and bored', which is potentially even worse.

But at least I'm not frantic and demented this time around. Hooray! Huzzah! Three cheers and pip pip for meeeeee!

Hmm. Well. That's enough of that, I think.

Other stuff - pretty dull, really )

observations, procrastination, footling's nature diary

I had to evacuate 10 spiders from our house the other night.

Rescued some sort of bug that looked like an ant/scorpion crossbreed from the pond - TWICE!

And then there was some sort of spider/grasshopper thing sitting on our bedroom wall this morning that could WALK UP GLASS!

Beware. They ARE everywhere.

They say misery loves company, so I'm glad I'm not the only one they're picking on.

I am a little distressed by the use of the words 'evacuate' and 'rescue', though. Am I the only one who sees insecty things in the house and immediately splats them? When they're not too big, of course.

Flying spiders! Aaaaarghhh! And I hate the way they rattle their wings against the ceiling, just to freak you out.

I'm glad you splattered it. Here, have this big shiny medal.

Yes, I'm afraid I come over all Zen-like when it comes to squishing things.

Unless they're wasps and they fancy their chances. They can put up a decent fight so all's fair there.

I am overcoming my spider phobia pretty well. You should try it.

They are, after all, more scared of you than you are of them.

That's what everyone keeps telling me - so why do the bally things always run towards you?

Funnily enough, I don't even mind spiders too much when they're outside- unless they're really fat and hairy. We get some monster spiders here. But when they're inside, I come over all unnecessary. Big boots (and even gloves in some cases) are usually called for before I can tackle them. And if they're on the wall and start running - so do I!!!

That's why you get so much trouble from chavs - karma. You squish the lowest to the earth and the lowest of the earth get you back.
