Author's Notes: Only my second drabble ever, so concrit is much welcomed. I felt a little inspired afer the news that flashed across my TV on FSC this evening.
I walked away with a blessing and a buona fortuna from the man who gave me everything. A little gialloblu fish in a cold, never-ending red and black sea. Mocked and criticized after every attempt, every miss, every time my name was on the team sheet. I could hear the whispers around the locker room; feel the isolation as everyone gathered around the savior of Milan. I just wanted to matter again.
Then I was saved. “Come home, my son.”
This piccolo gialloblu fish may be clad in viola now, but it’s the first time I’ve breathed in 3 years.
