They've sat together like this for almost an hour now, and Paolo (despite his best intentions not to say a thing, to just leave Pippo to his ways) finds himself reaching out for the other man and laying a firm hand on his right knee. The knee that has been bouncing up and down for the better part of said hour now.
Filippo's reaction is to shoot him a dirty glare yet stop, but Paolo can practically see that the other leg will resume the action in just about five seconds. God, his boys were certainly easier to deal with.

To say he is fed up would be an understatement. Gennaro hates the frustration which comes with knowing that he used to be better, quicker, more dangerous, and that even though he only keeps on trying harder, his body is just not cooperating.
So he arrives at training, half-prepared to leave exasperated again. But then he catches sight of Alberto; straight out of the youth team. Alberto, who wouldn't mind having three trainings in a row so he can improve, and just play, and suddenly Gennaro smiles because he realises that he will bounce back from all of this, eventually.
