What the hell?

I went outside just now to double-check that my car was locked and I heard a weird noise coming from the street. When I got to the edge of the yard I saw one of my neighbours standing in the middle of the street in pajamas. She was just standing there swaying and looking at her feet. I think maybe she'd thrown up because there was something all down the front of her top. I couldn't make it out in the dark. It didn't look like water, though it's been raining.

The thing is, when I called out to ask if she was OK she looked straight up at me and without saying anything started shuffling over. I asked her again and she didn't answer. It was about when she made it into the edge of where the streetlight reaches that I got weirded out. I saw her face and there was nothing there. Like she was whacked out on drugs or something... I still couldn't tell if it was puke, maybe it wasn't.

When she got close to me she double stepped and lunged at me. I backed up before she got too close. She smelt. Bad. Whatever was on her shirt was on her hands and I know it was a shitful thing to do, but I just told her to stay there while I got help.

She followed me into the yard anyway so she should be safe. I called the cops, they were busy but someone is coming out.
