An appliance bites the dust
Our refrigerator is broken. I wish we had realized it before going food shopping today. Luckily, the freezer still seems to be working, so we tossed some things in there. And friendly neighbors have graciously agreed to store our dairy/eggs and a few other perishables until we can get a new fridge. As much as I want to own our own home again, I have to admit that being able to call someone else to deal with the problem & pay for a new appliance is pretty nice. I just wish that the rental people were around on the weekend. We'll probably have to wait until Monday for a new fridge. Oh well - guess we'll have to have a eat-everything-perishable-party tomorrow.
