Doorbell Still Dead, Please Knock on Window

Couple of quick rambly thoughts:

I think I'm wussing out of seeing 28 Weeks Later. Sure, I know it's not coming out for another 6 weeks or so, and I might change my mind. But I mean - I only saw the trailer, which is just barely graphic and gory, and already I've had two nightmares (and have been constantly afraid that a gibbering, screaming, bloody person will at any point run and crash through my living room window to kill me). So I think I should take a pass. It's probably for the best.

Still super-excited about the new house. I've been looking online for bedspreads and shower curtains. I should go to Home Depot and get a bunch of paint chips/swatches. I got a few the other night (so that I can attempt to match the rust color of the master bedroom when we go to the inspection next week), but it then occurred to me that I want to try to figure out what colors all of the walls are painted, so back I go. Josh is being very indulgent of my constant state of excitement, and has dutifully glanced at a number of different curtains and things that I've pulled up on my computer screen.

We tried the Flattop Grill last night. The food was decent (gotta love stirfry - fyi, for you east-coasters, it's like Fire & Ice), but the service was horrendous. On so many levels. Let's just say that we got out of there an hour later than we should have (once Josh got his food - literally 30 minutes after the rest of us). Josh's meal was free, actually. And both of the tables near us also sent up an hue and cry about bad service.

I've not been feeling well this week. I started on antibiotics for an infection on sunday, and the drugs immediately messed up my Coumadin levels - I guess sulfides tend to enhance the effects of blood thinners, so my blood is back to dangerously thin levels. And after two blood draws this week, I'm feeling fairly fatigued and sick, and actually stayed home from work yesterday. On the bright side, if my blood's so thin, I can probably justify an extra helping of broccoli. ;)

I forgot to mention - minervaish made me the most wonderful present. It's a little booklet about the Montebello parties, and contains pictures and text from all of the invitation emails. It's a treasure. :)
