Yuletide recs, Column C

And now, Column C. Madness is open now, but I think most of these are over 1000 words anyway.

A Knight's Quest, Real Genius
Mitch is in grad school, Jordan's on the other coast, and Lazlo's in hiding in Wyoming - but discovering where their old research has gone brings the old gang back together for a noble quest.
This is absolutely lovely - and apparently a crossover of some sort, but given that I missed it entirely and still enjoyed the story, it's not required knowledge. It's a perfectly plausible follow-up to the movie, and I adore Lazlo's 'I'm going to makes this a fantasy story!' tendencies.

Mutual Respect, Team Fortress 2
A rescue mission forces Sniper and Spy to work together, despite quite a bit of mutual distrust. For all the author worried that there was too much action for the change in the characters' dynamic to come through, I think the action helps exhibit that change - especially in a setting like this one, where the characters are brought together by a particularly violent job.

Changes, The Giver
Fiona begins her Assignment, and her world starts to turn on its head - and then Jonas leaves and really screws things up. I love this look at how she has to cope with the reality of what she's doing, and how the Community picking up the memories Jonas left behind changes things even more.

The Edge of Wherever, Titanic
When thinking back, he couldn't pinpoint what it was about the meeting that sent his senses on the road to betraying him, but he could pinpoint when it started: the moment he shook hands with the young man-with Fabrizio.
Another love story on the Titanic, this one possibly even more problematic than the one the movie focuses on. Beautifully told, and with the happiest possible ending I can see happening, given the circumstances.

Princess Chi-Chi, To Wong Foo
There's more to Chi-Chi's obsession with Princess Laritza than most people think.
This is some awesome backstory for Chi-Chi - and a little heartbreaking, but then, she wouldn't have had an easy time of things, growing up.

Twelfth Night: Acts VI & VII, Twelfth Night
Duke Orsino and Countess Olivia each married the wrong twin. Here, let me fix that for you.
OH MY GOD THIS IS WRITTEN IN IAMBIC FRICKIN' PENTAMETER AND IT READS LIKE SHAKESPEARE AND AND AND AND AND. ::flails:: In conclusion, read it.

Eh By Gum!, Wallace and Gromit
In Which a Man and a Dog become Master Confectioners; Copious Tea Is Drunk; The Nature Of Evil Is Elaborated Upon; and Someone's Goolies Nearly Get Burnt Right Off (post-A Matter of Loaf and Death)
Wallace and Gromit go into the candy business. I could see this happening, as I was reading it.

The Damsel and the Knight, Warehouse 13
Myka/Claudia. Myka gets hurt in the Warehouse, and Claudia helps her.
This is awesome. Claudia's the damsel in distress and the knight all at once, and so is Myka. (And Pete is awesome, with the 'just admit you like each other already.' XD)

The Proper Use of Artifacts, Warehouse 13
Between James and the wishing kettle, there must be some way to make Artie relax.
The early days of Artie and MacPherson's partnership, some UST that is soon resolved, and a look at how things could reach the point that they do in canon. Also, ferrets.

real genius, warehouse 13, the giver, titanic, to wong foo, team fortress 2, twelfth night, wallace and gromit
