Met up with a girlfriend for lunch at Ichi Ban Boshi, a Japanese restaurant in Sydney's Galleries Victoria.
This place has cult status. There was a salivating and irritable crowd waiting for tables. However this did'nt deter us from joining the huddled masses.
We (im)patiently waited 45 mins, chatting and straining to hear ticket numbers at the same time. Every number sounded like ours by the end but thankfully we got our table!
Wanted a rich soup ramen and this was perfect. I LOVE butter and eat slices of it with kaya toast and even steak. (Yep, I ate a chunk of garlic butter with steak in Berlin.)
When the ramen arrived, I did'nt expect a cold slab of butter to be floating in bowl!
The butter melted away and added smoothness and body to the broth.
