Kielbasa Cabbage Soup
Kielbasa Cabbage Soup, originally uploaded by chrisinseattle.
This is so good..
1lb bacon
1pkg polish sausage
1 medium yellow sweet onion
1 small head of cabbage
1 box Mrs T's Pierogies
I 32oz container of chicken broth
Brown the bacon and set to the side
Use the bacon fat to saute the onion
add 1/2 stick of butter
shred the head of cabbage and add to the onions
Sweat the onions and cabbage..
add the bacon..
add the Pierogies
Chop up the sausage in medallion size pieces add to pot
stir in the 3/4 of the broth.. let simmer stirring frequently
simmer about 20 minutes.
