I've been looking for the taste of this slightly spicy crispy fish fillet stick from childhood. It has eluded me for two decades and it's only until I came across the basa fish fillet and frying it with cornstarch to get the crispy coating. It is so simple I can't believe it took that long to figure it out! /sigh/ No time for regrets. I'm just relieved and absolutely satisfied of my decades long craving. Insane.
I only found the basa fish sold frozen at the Chinese supermarket. I haven't found it anywhere else. Have you tried it before?
