I couldn't get my camera in quick enough to get a picture, but the following was gobbled last night:

Fudge Pie (made from Paula Dean's Old Fashioned Fudge Pie recipe) - 2 oz semi sweet chocolate melted down with a stick of butter.  Add a cup of sugar, two eggs.  Beat well, pour into pie crust (I used frozen, because I was also making up ice cream - ( Read more... )

Words cannot express how good the ice cream sounds! If only I can do it without an ice cream maker :(

You totally can, just with more work. When it gets to the point of "put it in the ice cream maker", instead put it into a coffee can (with a lid) that is smaller (like the Cafe Du Monde cans you can get at some grocery stores here in Texas). Fill a larger coffee (also with a lid) can with rock salt and crushed ice, put the smaller can inside. Roll it around for 45 minutes (you can do this between your legs while watching TV, or have kids chase it around).

I saw that pie recipe and thought "Ah! At last, something to use up the last two ounces of Scharffen Berger!". Delectable, although next time I'll make it in a smaller diameter pie tin, as it was a little thinner than I anticipated. Thanks!
