Using rum to bake

I was going too make a butter rum sauce.. I am assuming I use dark rum, but can you use light?

cooking with rum? I thought people only drank rum and cooked LOL...seriously though, what are you using butter rum sauce for?

I am making a peach cobbler with butter rum sauce over vanilla bean ice cream. Doesnt it sound DEVINE!!

I'm a profile stalker myself lol...I was planning on buying a bunch of fresh peaches today-they are on sale hella cheap and plan on making peach cobbler myself! ;)

my advice from doing that in past, is buy one or two try it and THEN go back and get some if they are good. I have gotten way to many that were cheap but then turned out woody.
