So I am obsessed with my new ice cream maker that I got as a wedding gift. So far we have made:
Green tea ice cream (my favorite, as I am obsessed with all things green tea)
Guinness stout ice cream w/ double chocolate brownie chunks (!!)
Lemon basil sorbet (my husbands favorite)
Lime Margarita sorbet (my roomates favorite)
Blueberry beaujolais sorbet
All were delicious! But, I need some advice: I have saved the top tier of my wedding cake, and by my first anniversary (next Feb) I am sure it will be a bit freezer burned and quite dry. I have convinced myself that I should chop it up and add it as chunks to some ice cream in order to add moisture, but I am not sure what flavor. The cake is red velvet. SO: if you were red velvet wedding cake, what flavor ice cream would you want to be chopped up and added to?
