seriously, after a discussion here about simpel meatballs in sauce, I tried it.
One crock pot
one package (about 70+) meatballs (frozen)
one jar bar-b-que sauce
one jar equal size grape jelly
crock pot all ingredients until hot, serve with toothpicks.
I've taken these tasty little superfast morsels to two club/group meetings in the last weeks and both times had no leftovers and lots of compliments. The first time I prepared it exactly as is.
Second time I prepared it with spicy/hickory smoked bar-b-que sauce and only half as much jelly (red plum, 'cause it was in the 'fridge) and a couple or three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. IT was fabulous and I got asked for the recipe by numerous women and all the guys stood around scarffing them down. Seriously, a time saver and crowd pleaser. Sure it would be even tons better with homemade everything, but in a pinch, it was astounding! Quite worthy of some church casserole type cookbook!
Thanks for all the suggestions and to whoever posted the original inquiry!
