I have a question about silicone bakeware. I'm moving into my first apartment in about two weeks and I'm trying to get a good set of baking pans. JCPenney has a pretty nice deal on a 5-piece set of silicon bakeware (it's four pans and a spatula). Is silicon bakeware good for cooking? I've never actually met anyone that used it, but it's always seemed like a lot of fun to me. Should I get the set (it's this
one, by the way)? What about the other types of materials used, like glass or aluminum?
I'm trying to make my dollar go as far as possible here, so I'd really like something that's sturdy and will last me a long time.
Thanks for all your help! <3
Edit: Fixed a word mix-up. Sorry about that.
Also, my "Joy of Cooking" calendar would like me to inform all of you of this: "Do not cook kiwis, for they turn a woeful shade of green". (I love how dramatic that sounds. :) )
