I like to make tomato sauce from scratch with diced tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, herbs, crushed garlic. I throw it in the skillet and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
Can I make tomatillo sauce in a similar manner? As in, dicing tomatillos and adding peppers, spices, lime juice, and whatever else to make it yummy, and then simmering it in the skillet? The recipes I've found require food processors and I don't have one. I'd rather not use the blender as it's on its last legs and I can't afford to buy a new one. Thanks in advance.
