Cuisinart

Hi all. Does anyone have any experience with the Cuisinart Custom Pro Stainless Steel 11 Cup Food Processor (model # EV11PC7)? I'm considering purchasing it as a Christmas gift, but I'd like to get some feedback. I've only found one review online and it mentioned durability/quality problems.

Thanks in advance!

I also have the white 11-cup. I've had no problems. It's great and I'm *always* surprised at how quiet it is. The only time there is noise is if the stuff I'm processing is noisy (like dried out baguette for breadcrumbs). Anything soft (like hummus or pie dough) is very very quiet.

I have the little cuisnineart one and it's awesome. No problems. I don't know about the 11 cup one though.

I have the 14 cup, not the 11, but in hindsight, I'm not entirely happy with having bought a newer model Cuisinart. In terms of motor and blades it's probably going to last forever, but the safety features they've installed make it a pain to use (Won't run without the plunger inserted into a mechanism that's hard to clean) and at least with the 14 cup version, I often find it difficult to get a homogenous process; half the pieces are mush, the other half are not chopped at all, even with 1 second pulses. I've looked at the Kitchenaid equivalents since and from handling them and reading the reviews, they seem to have pulled ahead of Cuisinart in the food-processor game so I'd recommend looking at both in a store before buying.
