"Destroy all which is evil, so that which is good may flourish..."

Things have changed.

From now on, this will be my philosphical, political, theoretical, etc etc board. All personal comments shall be kept to my myspace page. If you do not have that URL already, then you more than likely don't need it, and as such should not worry about it.

What are the two major problems in government? One is obvious. Power. Governmental power can be a wonderful things that allows economical growth, helps people, and occasionally makes the world a better place. Unfortunately, as time continues on, such a power is less desired to do the right thing, but instead the power is desired to simply have power. Such power is misused. Such power is negative and unlikely to breed progress, and unlikely to better anything. Anything, such as this power, not used to it's full ability, is masturbation. It is useless. It is a problem.

The other problem I have referred to, many would immediately think is money. However, as the phrase goes, "money is power", and politics itself proves that statement correct. The other problem I refer to is not money, but instead, law.

Governments are capable of many things. But at the same time, they are capable of nothing. In terms of this problem, I refer to government not as government but as, I suppose, "order". Federal, state, local. Police, FBI, CIA, the military. Etc. What is the point of government? To keep order, to take care of it's citizens, and perhaps in just my opinion, to make the world a better place.

In the beginning, law did a good job of this. It separated the good from the bad, and deals consequences accordingly. However, law itself is self-restricting. Things which need to be done may not in fact be done. The need for...thorough..."policing"...is left to be desired. Put ten drug dealers away and ten more will take their place.

What I said this time is quite jumbled, and not well thought out. More thorough explaining will occur when I next post.

Comment as you see fit, agreeing or the like. I may or may not respond.
