Another update, another dollar. Well, maybe not, but at least I am updating.
A few cool things have happened recently. With the exception of this being my last night of spring break. That totally sucks some booty.
As people who read the most recent LJ entry, I got two of my wheels bent last week due to me swerving to avoid having a fucking Mustang swerve into me, and I drove over a median, thus bending the two left wheels. I finally made a decision as to the ones that I want. They are either going to be 18 x 8 ADR 97 Decadences or ADR M-Sports. I am currently hoping on the M-Sports. They just look dope as shit.
97 Decadence:

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/Spiffybuns/ADRM-Sport.jpg I found a place to get either of those two, any size I want, complete with a nice set of Nitto Neogen tires, mounting, balancing, and free shipping, for $900. Not bad, considering to replace TWO of my stock ones would be more than $800. I'll pay another $100 to up the size, get better tires, be four brand new wheels, and just make my car look schweet. Next comes lowering the suspension.
Friday night I hung out with Matthias and Amber, who is back from the Marines. She leaves tomorrow (Monday) for two years being stationed in Japan, I believe. Anyway, it was great to see her. We just watched the Boondock Saints and ate junk food. And she greatly approves of my car. ;)
Saturday will be a day to remember for a long time. I went to two meets for the local team I am in, Addicted2Tuning. It was me, Justin, Jermie, and Amy at the first one. We met up at the Northtown mall, and hung out for a while, talking about cars and stuff. Justin has a 2005 Honda Civic Si Hatchback with a cat-back exhaust, AM headers and lowered two inches. A beautiful black Civic. Amy owns *shiver* a Daewoo, but it's ok. *shivers again* Kinda. Justin is currently between cars. Well, he has an 86 Thunderbird but it's a total PoS and he uses it basically as a beater until he buys his new car sometime in the next couple weeks. He used to own a beautifully tuned and turbod 89 Supra. He sold that though, and will soon be getting an older generation Honda Civic, also a black one. Totally a piece of crap right now, the one he is going to be buying, but he has plans to swap a motor sometime in the next year and turbo the thing. Anyway, so we just hung out for about two hours in the foodcourt at Northtown and talked about stuff. That was the meet and greet.
On the way home, Justin wanted to race me. Oh lord...Stock, the thing puts out 160 HP with a v-tech engine. Not bad, considering the thing weighs less than 2,800 pounds. With his full exhaust and headers he was probably putting out around 185. The exhaust alone would boost it to roughly 175. With the custom headers though, probably around 185. Not bad at all for the weight. Now my car weighs about 900 lbs. more, and puts out approximately 240 HP. Anyway. We did two short races. One from a dead stop at a light. Light turns green, and he launched. I didn't even try to. Smoked him. Pull up to the next light, and he wants to try again from a 30 MpH roll. We get to the roll and I sound my horn three times. He takes off before I even finish the third horn, we both agree on that one. A little jumpy. So I was already behind by about a half-car length. I kept up with him though and finally passed him at about 80 Mph and keep going to 100. So, first "official" team races go to me. :-D Haha! Justin's fine with that, and he heads for home. I go home too, and on the way, see Jeremie and Amy driving in her Daewoo. If I forgot to mention it, they are dating, lol. Anyway, I blow past them doing 70 around a nice curve, and take off...there is a van attempting to match my speed in the right lane (I'm in the left), and I have my turn coming up. So I brake in my lane, hard, and do a lane jump while doing a right hand turn. Jeremie calls me up in the middle of the whole thing basically laughing his ass off and basically claims me to be the sweetest driver he's ever seen, for the shit I pull and how I handle my car. Man, that was nice to hear from a guy who knows just about everything about cars.
Then we had a second meeting last night, Saturday night. This one was more for cruising together. Was just going to be me in my 3000GT, Matthias in his 300ZX, and Jeremie in his (laughs) Thunderbird. We were meeting up at the Target Greatland along Mainstreet. Anyway, me and Matthias both leave from my house and get there right at 8, which was the meet up time. I call Jeremie wondering where he is, bastard's asleep, lol. Took him a while to get there. But before he did, it was me and Matthias just chilling in the parking lot, blasting tunes from our cars. Seriously, we had two groups of two fine ass girls come over and try to talk to us. Was flippin' hilarious. Anyway, Jeremie finally gets there and we just hangout and chat for a while. He finally gets to meet Matthias, and greatly approves of his 300ZX, which is good. We hang out for a while, decide it was getting too late (took Jer too long to get there) to really go cruising, and left. But that was really fun. Especially when a Prelude was driving around Matthias and I, trying to start something, when we both knew I could have owned his ass. Was hilarious.
Nothing special about today. Just did my taxes, worked on homework, and whatnot. Totally bummed about the crazy amount of snow we are supposed to be getting, especially with my bent wheels. Ireally, really do not want to go driving in snow tomorrow. Not until my car is fixed again.
Anyway...yeah that's all for now. Talk to you guys later.
