A lion on the loose

В полицию Молина-де-Сегура, Испания, поступили сообщения о том, что по улице разгуливает… лев.

Но по счастью



оказалось, что это собака. Да, это собака, но очень крупная.

Когда собаку поймали, выяснилось, что у неё есть вживлённый микрочип, благодаря этому собаку удалось вернуть её законному владельцу.

Почему собаку так постригли, остаётся только догадываться.

Police at the Spanish town of Molina de Segura received a number of panicked calls reporting that a lion had been spotted (seen) in the nearby area.

Officers were dispatched to track down the big cat. But they discovered it was in fact a very, very big dog.
When they caught up with the 'lion', they were able to find it had been given a microchip and, after checking its details, found they were in fact dealing with a dog.
Officers were then able to reunite the lion-looking pet with its owner.

The police said they have no idea why the dog was given that haircut.
