Finally home! and at a computer
..which is most important when you want to keep in touch with your best friends who are living away.
Stace and Ryan- I miss you guys so much! I'm sorry i haven't kept in touch for the last month.
I was up at camp for 2 weeks, then i left for India, so it's been a pretty hectic 5 weeks. Neither place had computer access...
I can't even really begin to tell you about india, but it was an intense 3 weeks.
i left on the 14th of july, and got to india before neha. THis was a problem cause if we can recall, i'm Chinese, Not INDIAN. anyway. i was nervous cause our flights got screwed and instead of travelling together, i got to india a day before her. it turned out fine in the end. her family is great.
Strangely enough, even though my people belong on that continant, i seemed to be more of a minority in Asia. Everyone assumed i spoke chinese, all i would want to eat is chinese food and where on earth did neha and i meet if i'm from china? no, i'm canadian. we live 3 blocks away from each other. Also, some South Indian tourists started pointing and takign pictures with me at the taj mahal, like i was some crazy freak and nehas little cousin, Abheshek, (7) asked me if i knew Jackie Chan.
C: No, i'm from canada, my grandparents are from china..
A:- Do they Know jackie chan?!

we stayed with about 5 or 6 different families while we were there in the 3 weeks. we saw everything from Delhi, to temples all over india, to the taj mahal and the mountainous regions. It was amazing. an hot.
i cannot describe the heat. it was soo damn hot. you sweat constantly. it's discusting. india was kind enough to go through a drought while we were there, just so we could experience the suffering of indian heat.
also , the traffic in asia is very much how ryan described it. i couldn't not believe it. but besides the crazy traffic and honking, there is crazy poverty and there are animals everywhere. cows just sit in the middle of the highway.
anyway, the trip was awesome, neha and i had a great time. but i'm soooo glad to be home now.
i actually leave for camp in 2 days, so i have to get over my freaking jet lag and go back to the woods to take care of kids. i'm up there till the end of august, so this is another excuse for my lack of internet contact. Sorry guys, but keep updating me so i can read all about your month when i get home.
i was super stoked to come back and read your guys' journals cause i had no idea what your plans were for the fall. Mine still include Dave and leaving saskatoon. That is about all that is planned. I'm stoked.
miss you guys so much. it's been too long. sorry.
