Movie Review: A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
First off, I should preface this review by saying that the effect of this Korean horror movie was ruined because of the fact that I saw the American remake, The Uninvited, first. That being said, I think that if I hadn't seen the remake first, I think the twists would have caught me by surprise (one of them still did, because the remake isn't exactly like the original). As it was, though, I was disappointed because I knew what was going on through most of the movie. The acting was really good, especially considering that two of the main actors are preteens, who sometimes aren't the best actors.
Conclusion: I think I would have greatly enjoyed this had the ending not be ruined for me. Definitely see it if you haven't seen The Uninvited, otherwise skip it.
