On this day, the 21st of January, in 1793 King Louis the XVI of France was executed in Place de la Révolution, Paris, on the charge of having committed "a multitude of crimes in order to establish his tyranny by destroying the liberty of the people". And Archie and Horatio finally found a way to escape from Purgatory....

Yes, this is when Archie finally gets the break he's been waiting for. It's hard for us to imagine war being greeted with such joy now. I've just written a fic about this scene btw, hope to get it up tomorrow or possibly even later tonight.

Cute-but-bloodthirsty is the perfect description of Archie in this scene, and also the jubilant "Did you see me?!" scene on the Indy.
