Question: posting edits?

Is there a policy on posting edits to fanfiction posted here? I was in such a rush to get "Pole Star Of My Heart" up before the New Year that I left one bit that had been nagging at me - specifically, Horatio's reassurance to Archie felt too pat, without enough of Horatio's reaction to Archie's doubts. I just now came up with a paragraph that fixes that, to my mind, and I'd love to add it in. If this is against community rules, though, I won't.

I also noticed a couple of minor fact-checking corrections I ought to make on "Fortune and Men's Eyes" - Commodore rather than Admiral, and it looks like Horatio's commission as master and commander of the Retribution was a permanent rank and not an acting one, at least by movie canon. I'd like to make those as well.
