Just a short note to say a huge big THANK YOU to sarlania for running last week's Seven Deadly Sins Challenge. Wasn't it great?! And thanks also to everyone who participated, read and commented. We couldn't have done it without you! It's wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm in the fandom ( Read more... )

Thanks to the mods for all their hard work (especially in reviving the fandom!) I'm always up for more challenges.

You're very welcome m'dear! And all credit to folk like you and esmerelda_t for keeping the fandom going through the doldrums. *doffs cap respectfully*

Re more challenges, we're thinking of doing a remix in the new year so we may well come back to you for advice on that one.

Eh?! I'd like to see you get a partridge and a pear tree on to a frigate! ;)

I'm sure we'll manage to get something organised for Christmas. Watch this space!

Yes thank you. And I agree with Gaya. I know you have put in a lot of work, but it is so great. New people popping up, everyone re-energized. I think a good poke with a sharp idea stick helps everyone.(If you see what i mean.)

In that case we had better keep the pointy stick at hand to poke folk in case they doze off ;)

As someone who is new to the whole idea of fandom and fanfics, let alone this fandom, let alone this community, I have to say, you all do yourselves proud. So many very talented writers, very generous commenters, fun, intelligence, encouragement, gorgeous pictures of hot sailors, it's darned addictive. I had poked around a bit, and found a couple old, mostly defunct communities, and very much felt like I had missed the ship so to speak, until I came here. I know I'm full of energy, and feel very luck to have found you.

I just wish I'd started looking a couple months earlier, cause I'm so sad I missed the chance to try my hand at the 7 deadly sins thing. I don't know what a remix is, but I guess I'll find out. I'm used to writing for prompts (non-fandom short fiction for a game I'm in), so anything like that would be tremendous fun.

Awww thanks sweetie, so kind of you. Tbh I felt a bit like that myself. I came online as a complete fandom novice at the end of last year and like you really thought that I had missed the boat. I met esmerelda_t, thehappyreturn, mylodon, black_hound and sarlania through despatches. Then sarlania set up following_sea and there's been no looking back :D

Feel free to suggest prompts and ideas btw, anything at all that springs to mind, just post it to the comm!

I didn't write a sin either. But I am reserving the right to do so later. I also like prompts. And I have been here a while now, and it is really consistently this good. We are lucky!

You feel free to sin in your own good time honey ;)

I also like prompts.
Like I said to lemurling above, if you have ideas for prompts, challenges, discussions or general nonsense just let us know.

Btw remember you asked a couple of weeks ago about the use of "fucking" as an adjective? I have done some research for you and have a half written post I have been trying to finish ever since. Promise I will try and get it done soon.
