Just a short note to say a huge big THANK YOU to sarlania for running last week's Seven Deadly Sins Challenge. Wasn't it great?! And thanks also to everyone who participated, read and commented. We couldn't have done it without you! It's wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm in the fandom :)

following_sea is a mixed community that welcomes all fans of the inimitable Horatio Hornblower in all his incarnations; books, series, movie, art, media and fanfic. We also welcome general historical discussions relating to the Age of Sail and positively encourage all kinds of nonsense and silliness! So feel free to post anything that takes your fancy and do have fun :)
Between now and the end of the year we'll be running a regular series of weekly recs, occasional historical discussions and periodic reappearances of following_sea favourites such as the Caption Competition and the Quotes Quiz. And who knows, we might even get another challenge under way for Christmas.
