Nora has just started putting together two words.  Yesterday she said "Hello, Daddy" and today she said "Read bookie."  Bookie is, of course, "book."

Nora's has a word for fish and for all bath toys.  The word is "Ernie."  She has a bath toy that's a little wind-up toy with Ernie (from Sesame Street) in it.  I guess Jason always says, "Look, Ernie!" and at some point we realized she was starting to identify the toy by saying "Ernie."  Then we realized that all bath toys are Ernie.  :)  The other ( Read more... )

Nora cracks me up.  She's in her exersaucer, there are some toys she's playing with besides the attached ones.  She picks one up, carefully stretches her arm out and leans over as much as she can manage to drop one of the toys.  Then she looks up at me and says, "Uh oh."

Nora has all of these little noises she makes.  I can't really figure out if any of them have meaning to her yet, although I like to guess and pretend.  All of that will be coming soon enough, I know.  Anyway, one thing that she says sounds like "dey dey," which is a separate noise from "da da," which was the first thing she said back in February ( Read more... )
