I guess "a while" would be an understatement.
In the last few weeks we have accomplished a few thigns around the house
- painted the bedroom
- painted the kitchen
- put a kitchen cart in the kitchen
- put up a pot rack
- got all the boxes left to unpack in one room
Mom and Dad were awesome and got us a simple table and chairs to go on the patio and Gram got us an umbrella and small fire pit to go with it. It was pretty damn cool to sit outside with a fire going. It felt a lot like home. We started putting thigns on the walls and then found out that a lot of the walls are actual sheet rock and therefore the usual push pin method of hanging certian pictures simply won't do. So we are slowly getting everything put where we want it.
Gram is getting ready to put her house up for sale. She decided that she has been out in the middle of no where long enough and wants to stop driving. Mom and Dad are going to be renovating the basement so that she will be able to move in with them. he idea of getting her ready to move is daunting. I though Ryan dna I have a lot of stuff....she has been collecting it for almost 20 years. There is no telling what she has stored away. Either way, it should be interesting to find the bodies.
Ernesto, Ryan's best man, moved in with us a couple weeks ago as well. It is weird having a room mate agian. Not that it has been so long since I last had room mates. But, Shauna and Andrew were less, I don't know, formal? While I realize that it is not his intent to stay with us any longer than it will take him to get everything straightened out so that he can get a place of his own, he is so worried about "disrespecting" [his word, not mine] us that I feel liek he is walking on egg shells. In many ways that's just how he is, but I wish that he would relax a bit.
And finally, the most chillign though of all time...
MY MOTHER DISCOVERED FACEBOOK...AND FRIENDED ME.
What am I supposed to say to that. No Mom I didn't friend you b/c at 25 years old there are still things that I can't/don't want to tell you? Right. That's a can of worms that I simply do not want to open. *sigh*
