Employed and already hard at work!
Well, I'm tired and sore and a bit nervous, but I think I'm ready for the coming week.
The offer letter arrived, and it's pretty awesome. I've got a job! I start this week!
As a result, I've spent the past several days working my butt off, trying to get several items checked off my house-work list. The basement is painted, bookshelves have been built (goddamn Scandinavian furniture) and laundry is done. I've gashed my thumb with a screwdriver and messed up a tendon in my foot, but that's not going to mess up my good mood.
Of course, this does mean that I won't have as much free time for my artwork, or for Anime USA. But let's be honest. A steady paycheck is really important. Remember that post several weeks ago, when I was really depressed and down on myself? I feel so stupid for posting that. It's taken less than two months to turn everything around. The house still isn't in perfect shape, and I do still have a long to-do list, but doesn't everyone?
I fell like my life is finally getting on track.
