President Bush is saying that "there is more to Iraq than attacks, explosions and death". Yes. I wonder, if 50 people were being blown up in California each day and mass graves were being discovered daily, would he want us to focus on children playing in the streets and new shops opening their doors? Talk about double standards.

A couple of days ago a former high UN official already emphasized (needlessly, in my opinion) the current ever-worsening situation in Iraq, with "gangs killing freely". Basically, the invasion and the pseudo-democracy they have installed now have done absolutely zilch when it comes to prisoner abuse or the security of the people in general. ( Read more... )
