So my leg is finally better, more or less. I was able to start running again on Saturday. I got winded at lot sooner than usual. Today, I tried to do my old TKD workout, and I wasn't able to finish. The muscle memory is there, but the stamina isn't. Given, I wasn't unable to do any of it. There were times when I couldn't do as much because my body was fatigued from the prior day's workout. This time, however, both my aerobic and muscular stamina gave way. During the aforementioned times, my muscular stamina was the only problem.
I hope the atrophying reverses quickly because this is almost culture shock. I've forgotten what it's like to be out of shape. It's aggravating when my body doesn't listen to what I tell it to do. Granted, the past four weeks have been like that, so I should be used to it. One week ago, it wouldn't even bend properly. Though, in my defense my body feels normal now. It feels like it should behave as normal, but it doesn't. In that vain, it feels like I'm trapped in someone elses body, which is creepy. It's amazing how weak you can become if you do nothing but lie around and eat Hot Pockets all day.
