Christmas Day is here.
What kind of day will it be?
Slept in until 9:15am - which is VERY late for me. But considering that I went to bed at 4am, it wasn't too much out of my ordinary night's sleep.
Made Egg nog Latte - YUM!! Checked and sent emails and messages. Listened to Christmas music.

Opened my Miracle present from last night.
It was a cute little picture frame ornament/stand.
Perfect style for me.
Generic picture is of an outdoor scene, similar to my wooded acreage, with a bird feeder.
Fixed a yummy breakfast of French Toast made from croissants! With pure maple syrup, and sausages.
Spent a good part of the day listening to music, reflecting, deflecting, refracting, and defragmenting - with all of the accompanying mental fallout.
Heated up the hot tub (Even though it isn't working properly, I can heat it up and run it, then shut it off at the breaker. It just doesn't cycle through like it should.)
Sat in the hot tub and sipped egg nog latte. I was Finally able to do my stretches and things that I need for my back and knees. It felt amazing!
Food Prep

Came in and prepared the duck and sweet potato for dinner.
Alas, I don't have many pictures of my day. Unfortunately I forgot to charge the battery on the camera, so no pictures of me opening the present, making breakfast, or going in the hot tub. But I managed to get one of me starting to prepare the duck (and yes, I am ONLY wearing a flannel shirt. I just came in from the hot tub, remember?!?)

The Duckling a l'Orange came out great. The sweet potatoes were roasted and then mashed with butter.
Dinner

A tasty dinner eaten by candlelight and backed by Christmas music. Accompanied by a rich, fat and luscious Sangiovese wine from Tuscany - full-bodied enough to stand up to the duck, but fruity and crisp to cut through the heaviness. An excellent complement - and what is the name???
