Headed out today for a bit of a ride. I was planning longer, but Denali was go-go-go for the first three miles and I was worried she had worn herself out. HA. Not quite. She tried to buck me off at the 7 mile mark. And did a rear/spin just after 4 miles because a piece of wood was GOING TO GET HER ( Read more... )

me too! biggest issue is the weather, but as long as I can either start early in the morning OR find a cooler day (it was semi-overcast yesterday = win), it makes it a lot easier. Still, Denali was entirely sweat covered by the first 1/2 hour. Just that warm :P

exactly! I've always been one to sleep in (we'll ignore the years I woke up at 3 or 4am for work, I was just insane then) when I can, but since I sometimes don't SLEEP until 2 or 3am, waking up at 6 or 7am to go riding in the summer is rather painful :P

however, this later work schedule (1pm to 9:30pm) is REALLY nice since I can do a LOT of riding/gym/studying/whatever in the morning hours before getting to work. The key is just timing out my energy/sleep/etc properly.

and not giving into the 'snooze just 10 more minutes.....'

haha i know the ways of the snooze button way too well! i used to not fall asleep until 2-3am and then when 7am or whatever came i'd say "i'll just sleep til 9" and then next thing i knew it was like..12 or 1...fail :( the later work schedule is certainly nice..but you're right, timing out everything else to be done in the morning can be difficult !
