I passed the Teenager Audio Test!

Train Horns I really don't feel the stereotypical way 28 is made to sound. I have no wrinkles. I have a few grey hairs. Sure I'm getting fat, but that's nothing a month at the gym and changing my horrific diet of fast food can't change. It's funny though - I started reinstalling everything on my PC at home since I got some new drives and among the install tasks was making sure I had a synced copy of my LJ there. My favorite app is still
ljarchive. It may be old but it has a bunch of neat little report generators in it. It was sad to see such a decline in LJ activity. It was even more sad to read a lot of the "private" posts I had from college years ago - nights when I was lonely, depressed, angry, etc. So I guess in a way I am unavoidably getting older, but I that's a good thing as the person I am now wants to slap the person I was then for wasting so much mental and emotional energy on so many things that, in the scope of things, really didn't much matter.
Age is just a number and I'm perfectly fine continuing to live my life how I feel. And I've said it eleventy times, with today's science/medicine/pharmaceuticals, everyone's staying younger, longer. Turning 30 used to be such huge deal, but now someone who's 30 can easily look like they're in their mid-20s. Hell, as 'recently' as Ancient Greece, the average lifespan was only 30 years. As of 1989, I was expected to live to 73. As of 2004, my age range's life expectancy was 78. Our lifespans are getting exponentially longer (which poses an obvious world population problem as people just won't stop having sex apparently). The next 50 years will be an interesting time for Humanity and I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of interested in seeing it all go down :)
