So I've been looking up external USB LCD screens since I saw an article about the upcoming
Logitech G19 Keyboard.
I must say, I'm surprised there aren't a lot of these things - think of how cheap cell phones are and they have small LCD screens in them. Even my small LG Chocolate has a nice 176 x 220 Pixel display and this thing was $50 I mean, most people have seen the
mouse mod from a few years back. If that was doable back in 2006, why aren't there already products out there that does what the G15 does, except in color and a decent resolution? The G19 looks like it has it, but I'm looking for a non-keyboard solution.

This thing would be *perfect* in my black aluminum case - practically looks like it was made for it.

Modular. I have the metal blanks that go in my bays and I could easily fit this one in with some customization. Also has a cable that goes right to a motherboard USB header.

This one is actually an 800x600 monitor via USB. Quite a bit more than what I was thinking of, but neat nonetheless. Couldn't find one for sale anywhere, but there are a number of small USB displays out now - but that seems like overkill for the info I'm after.

This is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for... except not with a circa 1999 screen. Again, this couldn't be done with a reasonable size cell phone LCD?
I may just have to break open one of the VX6000s my sister has in her stack of old cell phones...
