woo yeah. i OWNED that presentation (at least compared to most of my classmates, which, in this case, makes me glad for their shortcomings). silly intro comic and Great Vowel Shift FTW!! heh. i actually memorized the poem without realizing it. combined with getting my Spanish thing done with, i'm a happy camper.

my Spanish teacher is so awesome. he loves to go on about national stereotypes and foreign relations and history and it makes me smile every time. today during our break he discussed which Latin American countries hate each other and why. then he took the opportunity to brag about his upcoming trip to Europe (yes, Prof. Medrano, we understand you get to go to Germany too. quit being so schoolgirl-excited XD).
it totally makes up for the 20 new irregular verbs i need to know by next week.

i love the library. i'm sure i've borrowed over $100 worth of books this term alone. it's getting slightly out of hand... especially when i borrow new books before returning the old ones (the librarians know me well at this point). at the moment, i've got a book on American phrases and idioms (that's probably due soon or past-due); some book copyrighted 1916 that has some dude baptizing penguins in the 2nd chapter; and today i got a book on Medieval science and technology. the thing is dated 2004 and it looks brand new (aka never-been-opened). i am ashamed of you, campus!

a little irony occurred to me today. when i was in first grade they rounded us all onto a bus and brought us to the library where we had to check out books. in the end i chose a biology textbook i found. while i am certain that i did it just to show off (and in the end mostly amused myself with the illustrations) it's funny that bio is the major i ended up choosing.

welp. i best get back to studying for my A&P I midterm (not worried. his exams are something you can contribute to all semester) and Precalc test (shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit) tomorrow.
let's hope there's some time left for drawing in time for vous-savez-quoi.

ha! now i'm in Hollywood, according to LJ
