Day of rest today, so jauntily set off on the tour bus to see old Poznan (apparently the birthplace of Poland and Polish Catholicism). So far so good.
Twin-spired cathedral, check.
Town hall with strange Masonic symbols fruity enough to get Dan Brown out of his writer's block, check.
Two clockwork goats butting heads at noon, to the mournful arpeggios of a lone bugler, check.
Flustered colleague unable to get hotel reception to do anything right, check.
2nd member of delegation carted off to hospital for examination and observation, check.
Jar of pickled squash and dried sausage for smuggling past customs on way home, check.
Visit to what was voted "most beautiful shopping centre in the world", check.
American diner lunch, check.
Vodka purchase for the homies, check.
Anxious return to hotel, check.
