My Lawn Part 2
I’ve spent 18 hours, $298, used 1100 feet of green metal edging, 60 feet of plastic edging, a shovel, and a mallet, to start creating what is going to be a kick ass backyard. I will post pictures and a sketch of what it will look like when I am finally done. As soon as I find my colored pencils.
My allergies are so severe I feel as if I have a really bad cold, except without the fever or any hope of relief. I’m just going to feel like this for about 4 weeks, just long enough to miss enjoying what is usually the prettiest time of the year. I think I’m going to have to start getting my allergy shots again; when I used to get them 5 years ago they were so expensive! But I didn’t suffer from allergies for 4 years, so it was worth it at the time. Of course, back then, I didn’t have a house.
I am driving to San Antonio for a Pampered Chef party at Pati’s sister house. She has sent out 80 invitations and is expecting 30 so I expect to sell quite a bit. It’s going to be fun! I am preparing the Bits and Bevs Theme show and I’m making Jerk Chicken Nachos, Baked Brie with Red Pepper Confit, Baked Brie with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Pesto, and to drink Lemon-Lime Fizzes; for people who want booze I am adapting the Lemon-Lime Fizzes with Prosecco or Tequila to Make Lemon Bellini’s and Palomas.
Mel and EJ just stopped buy and Mel looks great! She’s preggers and I am so pleased to see her so happy. She deserves it. She was wearing a gorgeous blue shirt that looked great with black slacks, but she claims to have nothing to wear. They are shopping for maternity clothes today.
