rolls
Reading austincommunity postings from this week gave me an inspiration to make cinnamon rolls; I've never made them. I don't have my standing mixer anymore so I kneaded the awfully sticky dough by hand. the dough was SO sticky, i wasn't even really kneading it; more like squishing it with my hands like I used to squish wet mud or sand when making mud pies as a kid. Eventually, the dough held together pretty well; I would hold a big pile of dough in each hand and sort of twiddle my thumbs through the dough, pulling it around my fingers like I've seen taffy-pulling machines work. it's rising now; I hope it works out.
Work was soooo relaxing this week compared to December. My only worry is I don't have enough jobs now for all the candidates that I have available for work. I interviewed two candidates this week who I just LOVED and want to find some office work for really quickly. I also have one employee I've been trying to find decent data-entry work for months with no luck. She scores very fast on alpha numeric data entry, but doesn't have too many other skills. Hrm...I just had a think; I should send her to the IRS.....
Allen is going to a fund-raiser with a friend tonight so I'm on my own. I can't decide to hang out with low-key friends or don my new expensive 'gay shirt' and go downtown with quiet_explorer, who I am CERTAIN will be headed out tonight.
